Hocus Focus Abracadabra… every stress in your life be gone!!

Have you ever wished for a magic mantra that could take all your stress away? One that could bring more peace to your life.

Well, I have one for you.. and the magic words are – Focus Locus!!

Got 1 minute?

  1. Choose one thing that you’re most stressed about right now.
  2. Think : Has worrying helped your situation positively in any way? Worrying gives you a false sense of control over the situation, but don’t mistake that as being helpful because it is not!
  3. Accept the situation as it is. Like, “Yes, I am stressed about my kid’s studies. They’re not interested in studying at all. They don’t listen to me.”
  4. Now, mentally account for what’s in your control and what’s not in your control in the area you’re worrying about.
  5. Finally, & most importantly – make the magic happen: FOCUS ON YOUR LOCUS OF CONTROL.

Here’s what it will look like:

What’s not in my control about my kids’ studies : My child’s mood, their behavior, their interest, school’s expectations, family member’s comments & opinions.

What is in my control: My thoughts and actions around my kids’ studies.

FOCUS LOCUS ABRACADABRA.. I choose to focus on my locus of control. I take it one day at a time. Since my child is not interested in studying, I will invite her to learn for just 10 minutes in a playful way. How she responds to this is not in my control, but I’m willing to observe & adapt and try a different approach tomorrow. I know worrying will not help. But, by consistently doing my part and focusing on what’s in my control – I can make a positive difference in this area.

Have faith, and try this new way of thinking.

Consciously try to focus on your locus of control in every area of your life. I promise it will give you much relief and bring much needed peace in your daily life. Let me know how it goes for you. 🙂
